Oh so it's not only me complaining about this soul-less, perfect writing style? Fun fact: now people tend to speak and write (meaning: using specific phrases and syntax) as if it's been written by AI. How much more crazy we all can be? ๐Ÿค” Good that you're back ๐Ÿ˜€

I like how you explain importance of linking directly to humanly things. Our ability to package, in plain text, the personal manners, style, emotions .. feels like a gift from Heaven. No wonder we are hooked. It just feels so good to be with a person, even through text.

But there is another, In my opinion, slightly darker reason to be mad about slop. I think we value our own effort so much that reduced effort from the peer feels like a disrespectful shortcut or cheat. So we quickly get defensive: "If you didn't bother writing it, I ain't spending time reading it". Such irritation happened a lot even before LLMs. Ask a question without googling first, and get frowned upon. Similar, right?

PS: You are absolutely correct!
